Monroze - Interview

Monroze - Interview
Yesterday while I was in Covent Garden  I waked past the Pretty Green shop and saw a band setting up for an in-store. Soon enough I found out it was the up and coming band Monroze (by looking at the setlist), as I had never heard any of their material before I was pleasantly surprised and found their sound captivating. I fell in love with their whole aura so couldn't resist asking for a sneaky interview and heres the output.

1.How did it feel to be able to play an instore in Pretty Green which is run by such an iconic
musical figure (Liam Gallagher)?
It's a privilege to play there and it's always great when there's a good turn-out. We think that the way
that Liam has connected fans of music with clothing is a great idea.

2.What are your musical goals you would like to accomplish this year?
To grow as a band and to promote our E.P that we're recording next week, we're also looking forward
to playing some gigs in the summer.

3.How did Monroze form/come about and how did you guys meet?
I (Tom) have known jack the drummer for years and and met Matt when
he phoned me up after being told I needed a bassist. So we all got together
and have been a band since mid 2013.

4.What’s your favorite thing about playing a gig?
Our favourite thing about playing a gig is being able to play our own
music to people and create a vibe.
It's always great when you connect with the audience.

5.What has been your favorite album of the past couple of years and
what albums are you looking forward to in 2014?
Our favourite albums from the last couple of years are.:
Tame Impala - Lonerism
Alt J - An Awesome Wave, we think their use of simplicity within the songs and melodies are great.
And obviously AM.
We are looking forward to hearing Dead Weather's new album!

6.If you could describe your sound in one word what would it be?
New

I would highly reccomend checking out Monroze on their Soundcloud and Facebook:
